About Tixster
What is Tixster?
Tixster is a fan-to-fan ticket resale platform for the Philippines with escrow payments, ID checks, and a one-time PIN handover for physical ticket meetups to stop scams.
Are you affiliated with artists, venues, or ticketing providers?
No. Tixster is independent. Artist and event names are for identification only.
Where is Tixster available?
We’re starting in Metro Manila during our beta phase and expanding based on demand. Join the waitlist to get notified for your city.
Who can use Tixster?
18+ with a valid ID and a local payment method. (Minors: please have a parent/guardian handle purchases.)
Safety & Verification
How does escrow work?
The buyer pays into escrow. Funds are held until both sides confirm the handover with a one-time PIN (and/or verified digital transfer). If something goes wrong, funds don’t auto-release.
What's the one-time PIN?
At meetup/transfer, the seller asks the buyer for a PIN shown in the buyer’s app. The physical ticket can also be redeemed together. Entering it confirms the exchange and releases payment.
Do I need to upload my ID?
Yes, an uploaded ID is needed for sellers and buyers. This reduces bots and repeat scammers. We verify name/ID match before listings go live.
How are physical meetups kept safe?
By confirming the PIN in web-app during meet-ups held in one of our suggested public locations. It is encouraged that physical meetups feature the redemption of the physical ticket together to ensure legitimate ticket transfer.
Can Tixster stop fake QR codes and screenshots?
Escrow + PIN means a screenshot alone doesn’t get anyone paid. For digital tickets, we guide you through name/transfer checks where possible.
Buying on Tixster
How do I buy a ticket?
- Reserve a listing
- Pay into escrow
- Meet or complete the digital transfer
- Confirm with PIN
- Access the ticket
When do I actually get the ticket?
At the verified handover (in person or official transfer). If the seller can’t deliver as described, don’t confirm; contact support.
What if the seller no-shows?
You can cancel after the grace period and get your money back from escrow.
What if the event is postponed or cancelled?
Policies vary by organizer. If refunds are issued to original buyers, sellers are expected to pass through refunds. We’ll assist with dispute steps if needed.
Selling on Tixster
How do I list a ticket?
Create a listing, verify your ID, pick buyer requirements (e.g., fan-club members), choose handover method (meetup or official transfer), and set price within any event cap.
When do I get paid?
After the buyer confirms with the PIN, escrow releases to your payout method. Payout speed depends on the provider (typically same-day to 2 business days).
What tickets can I sell?
Concerts, shows, and events where transfer is allowed by the organizer. No counterfeit/duplicated tickets or items that violate event T&Cs.
Are there price caps?
Yes. During beta, Tixster enforces a maximum resale price of +10% over the ticket’s original face value. Listings above the cap won’t publish. This policy aligns with the proposed Anti-Ticket Scalping Act in the Philippines.
Payments, Fees & Refunds
What payment methods do you support?
We support local wallets and cards via our payment partner: GCash, Maya, and major debit/credit cards (Visa/Mastercard). All payments run through escrow—no cash meetups or direct transfers. More methods may be added over time.
Does Tixster hold my money?
Funds are held in escrow with our payment partner until the exchange is confirmed.
What are the fees?
A small platform fee and payment processing fee. We’ll show the exact breakdown before you pay or list.
Do you handle chargebacks/refunds?
If an exchange fails, we refund from escrow. Once a handover is PIN-confirmed, disputes become a Resolution Case (see below).
Legal & Policy
Is ticket resale legal in the Philippines?
Resale policies can vary by organizer, venue, and ticket type. Tixster provides tools for safe transfers but does not override event terms. Always check the event’s T&Cs.
Do you allow scalping?
No. We enforce KYC, caps (when applicable), and anti-bot checks. Repeat violators are removed.
What’s prohibited?
Counterfeits, duplicated barcodes, tickets marked “non-transferable,” and anything violating local law or event terms.
Accounts & Privacy
What data do you store?
Account info, basic KYC status, listing/transaction records, and minimal device/location data used to secure exchanges. We don’t sell personal data.
How is my ID handled?
Images are encrypted at rest and accessible only for verification and fraud prevention, per our Privacy Policy. You can request deletion after legal retention periods.
Disputes & Support
What if the ticket fails at the gate?
Open a Resolution Case within the app within the stated window. We’ll collect evidence from both sides; escrowed funds won’t release until resolved.
How long do resolutions take?
Simple cases resolve within 3–5 business days; complex cases may take longer if we need organizer input.
How do I report suspicious activity?
Use
Report on the listing or email
support@tixster.ph with details. Accounts engaged in fraud are permanently banned.
Fan Clubs, Organizers & Partners
Can fan clubs reserve inventory for members?
I’m an organizer/venue. How do we work together?
We can provide anti-fraud resale rails (escrow + KYC + PIN) and data on secondary demand. Email
partnerships@tixster.ph.
Press & media?
Beta & Access
When does beta open?
Rolling invites by city and event. Join the waitlist; we’ll notify you based on demand.
Can I suggest an event?
Yes—use Suggest an event on the site. Popular requests get watchlists first.
Official Release
When is the official release?
We’re targeting early 2026 for public launch. Ahead of that, we’ll run a closed beta in late 2025 with rolling invites by event and city. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you when your city/event opens.
Where will you launch first?
Metro Manila first (e.g., Manila, QC, Makati, Pasay), then we’ll expand based on demand signals from watchlists and partners. You can still use Tixster for digital transfers even if your city isn’t in the first wave.
What platforms will be available at launch?
A web app (installable as a PWA) at launch. iOS and Android native apps are planned after we’ve proven the core flows at scale.
How do I get early access?
Join the waitlist or an event watchlist. We prioritize invites for verified fan-club members and early partner events.
Will my beta account carry over to the official release?
Yes. Your account, KYC status, and transaction history carry over. Any clearly marked test data from pre-release sandboxes will be cleaned before GA.
Will fees change after launch?
Possibly. Beta may have discounted fees while we tune operations. Any changes will be posted on our Fee Schedule and shown before you pay/list. The +10% cap over face value policy remains in beta and at launch unless event partners require stricter caps.
How do you choose launch events?
A mix of fan demand (watchlists), operational readiness (escrow + transfer support), and partner interest. Suggest an event on the site to boost its priority.
Can fan clubs get launch-day priority?
Yes. Fan Club Mode can limit listings to verified members, apply caps, and run queueing rules. Email
partners@tixster.ph.
Will there be launch promos or “founding fan” perks?
Likely. Expect limited fee credits or priority access windows for early verified users and partner fan clubs. We’ll announce via email.
How will I know the exact date?
We’ll send a two-week heads-up to waitlisted users in the first launch cities/events, plus a final reminder 48 hours before listings open.
What happens if timelines shift?
We’ll update the FAQ and email affected waitlisters. Dates are targets and may move to ensure safety, partner coordination, and compliance.
